Joy-Con drift repair in Baton Rouge - drifting sticks on Switch and Switch OLED Joy-Con diagnosed on a live console and repaired. Firm quote, warranty terms in writing, no fix no charge.
Your character walks off on their own. The camera slowly pans while your hands are off the stick. Menus scroll by themselves. That is stick drift - the stick reporting movement nobody made - and on the Joy-Con it is the controller fault we are asked about most. Drift comes from wear inside the stick itself, and it does not heal or recalibrate away once the wear is in. We test the controller on a console to confirm the drift, replace the worn stick, then run the calibration screen and a short game test with you at pickup. A new set of Joy-Con is the other option - get the repair quote first and decide with both numbers in front of you.
Answered the way we would answer you standing at the counter.
Recalibration in the settings helps when a stick is simply out of alignment. When the contact surfaces inside the stick are worn, the drift keeps coming back, because the stick is sending movement that is not there. The test on our console separates the two before you spend anything.
Get the quote first. Drift is one worn part; a repair targets that part instead of replacing the whole controller along with it. We quote the repair, and you can hold it against the cost of a new set - your call either way.
Only the worn stick needs replacing. While your controllers are here we check the other stick too, so you know its condition before you leave - fixing one and hearing from the other a month later is common enough that the check is worth doing.
It follows the check and the part. You get a firm quote and a date at check-in - and if we find the controller cannot be repaired, there is no charge for the repair.
The Lite's sticks are built into the console instead of detachable, so Lite drift is quoted as a console repair. Bring the whole console in and we will diagnose it the same way.
Grab a drop-off time, or come straight to 257 Lee Dr Ste V, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 and walk in. Either way, diagnosis comes first and the quote is firm.
